You come to work for good reason. Correct? The business has specific need for your skills – a need for you to get the results they expect. To meet these expectations you fully intend to focus on your priorities. What gets in the way of our good intentions?! Often our time, effort and energy is simply wrenched away from us as we deal with difficult people and difficult situations in the workplace.
What do you consider "difficult?" What are your challenges in working with your team? Do you work with those who blame others and don’t take responsibility for their actions – or lack of action? Are you facing negative attitudes? Do those around you engage in gossip?
In this session we’ll explore the challenges you face in dealing with difficult people and difficult situations and help you find solutions to those challenges, including having the conversations you need to have.
Session Objectives:
- You are aware of your typical response to “difficult” situations, sometimes considered to be conflict.
- You are better equipped to deal with difficult people and difficult situations – and can follow a 3-step model for holding difficult conversations.
