In today's world, with the constant stresses of change, doing more with less, revised goals, new working relationships, and more, our relationships with our co-workers are critical. The more we know about about co-workers, the better we are able to address them...keep them informed, discuss goals, give and get feedback, problem solve and hold each other accoutable. This session gives you an understanding of four behavioral styles that we all fall into and, armed with this knowledge, we can then determine how to use this universal "language" to better work together.
The DiSC® is an internationally recognized behavioral instrument that assesses the personal behavioral and communication styles we use in our interpersonal interactions. This knowledge lends itself to enhancing individual and team interactions. We get clarity about our own personal style, as well as examine the strengths and limitations that come with that style. In addition, we learn strategies for adapting our communication based on the styles of others, which may be distinctly different than ours.
In this session, you will:
- gain an understanding of your personal behavioral style and learn to leverage strengths and manage limitations.
- with this knowledge, you will evaluate how to address conflict, teamwork, establish rapport with others, build trust, and influence others.
